Module 1: "Introduction"
Meet Jeff! Jeff explains what you’re going to get from the course, gives you exclusive insight into his career, and gets you thinking like him, by sharing the most important things DJing has taught him. He also shares his approach to gear and technology, plus gives you an hour-long “Inspiration Mix” - the mix this course is based around.
Module 2: "How I Get & Prepare My Music"
Jeff starts you approaching DJing the way he does by talking about how he approaches music, and gives you tips and advice on building a collection in the way he does. To Jeff, it is more about “good” music and “bad” music, and he explains how he separates collecting great music from figuring out how to DJ with any particular track, something you'll want to start doing too.
Module 3: "Fundamentals & Scratching"
With the music nailed, next Jeff teaches the importance of counting and timing (“the bodyclock”), his four main scratches, how to loop intros, how to use acapellas, ways to use scratching in transitions, as well as how to use samples. This module gets you well on your way to being able to do much of what Jeff shows you in his "Inspiration Mix".
Module 4: "The Added Spice"
With the fundamentals all laid down, in this module you'll continue to build on your new skills, learning lots of tricks, transitions and techniques Jeff refers to as “added spice”.
