Module 1

Get prepared! Learn what we mean by "mixing", why it's such an awesome thing to be able to do, and the basic skills  you need to start to learn to mix house like the pros. We've got a ton of BONUS material for you too, so if you're a total beginner, you can brush up on counting, timing, manual beatmixing and beatgridding - everything you need to get started fast.

Module 2

You could just go through your DJing journey learning tricks, trying to copy things you see on YouTube, stumbling almost by accident over the real insights. Or, you could pin your learning on tried and tested rules that hold firm in all types of house DJing. We've distilled our decades of experience playing house into the "Seven House Rules" - an essential for every serious house DJ.

Module 3

There's nothing like putting a few scores on the board at the start of any journey - and here you'll get a pile of easy-win house mixes that you can start using in your sets immediately. Module 4

A lot of the best transitions happen when you take the time to find the right tracks to use in the first place. Get that right, and the actual work you have to do at the decks to perform seamless, impressive beatmixes can be minimal. In this module, you'll learn ways you can perform smooth, harmonically pleasing transitions, just by preparing properly ahead of time.

Module 5

Filters are actually just another effect, but they are so ubiquitous in house music that on most equipment nowadays, they get their own controls, one per channel. And along with effects ("FX"), these features are one of the best ways to draw attention to your transitions, or - just as importantly - to make them smoother and cleaner. We'll even show you how to use them to create on-the-fly live mashups.

Module 6

Loops are one of your biggest friends in house music, being the basis on which all house music is created. From using loops to repeat a single note in a transition, to looping vocals to build excitement, to using loops to "house-ify" non-house music, this module is packed with transitions you can lift immediately for your own sets. More importantly, it'll give you loads of ideas for loop tricks to do with your own music.

Module 7

Here you'll begin to step it up a little with some more complicated combinations. Using concepts such as wordplay and "call and response", you'll begin to make tracks of your own. Once upon a time, the idea of "quick mixing" would have had house DJs scratching their heads. Why would you "quick mix" when house music is made for beatmixing? But nowadays, three-minute house tracks are as common as the longer cuts - and such music requires house DJs to borrow from the quick mixing styles associated with open-format DJs.
